Best Bakeries in Clark County: 6 Local Spots for Pastries, Bread, and Sweet Treats

Maybe it’s just me, but there’s nothing a good pastry can’t fix. And we’re lucky, because Clark County has some seriously amazing bakeries to choose from. Places you have dreams about, that you always want to take your out-of-town guests to, places you save your cheat day for!

Below are six of my absolute favorites. When I’m out showing houses or in between client meetings and I’m in the neighborhood, you can bet I’m stopping in.

Baron Patisserie

Baron Patisserie feels straight out of a French neighborhood bakery with its bright space, clean counters, and pastries that look almost too good to touch. The croissants are flaky without feeling greasy. The pain au chocolat and fruit tarts are consistent crowd favorites.

Seasonal items like strawberry shortcake are worth showing up early for. This is a quality-over-quantity shop with the best items often selling out before 10AM.

Sadie and Josie’s Bakery

Sadie and Josie’s is the old-school bakery Clark County needs. Family-owned. Three generations are involved. Everything is made from scratch.

They are known for sourdough, which they offer in 16 varieties, and some of their starters are over 200 years old. The cinnamon rolls are a must. If you go on Friday or Saturday, grab the chocolate-covered cherry fritter or the maple frosted apple fritter. You will not regret it.

Al & Ernie’s Bakery Cafe

Al & Ernie’s has built serious local buzz, and it lives up to it. The open baking area lets you watch them work on pies and pastries while you wait. It feels personal and welcoming.

The cinnamon rolls are huge and worth every bite. Their special-order pies are also a standout. You can grab handmade breads, bagels, buns, and coffee along with heartier cafe options.

Cedar Street Bagel Company

Cedar Street Bagel Company brings solid New York-style boiled bagels to downtown Camas. You can choose from up to 15 flavors and build breakfast or lunch sandwiches exactly how you like them.

They make their own cream cheese blends in-house and rotate seasonal items throughout the year. Think pumpkin bagels in the fall and scratch-made soups during colder months. They also offer gluten-free and dairy-free options, which is a huge plus.

Sweet Touch Cafe & Svitoch

Sweet Touch Cafe brings Ukrainian roots into Clark County’s bakery scene. Family-owned and operated, this spot has been part of the community for years.

The macaroons are a highlight and not overly sweet, which makes them easy to keep eating. You will also find European-style pastries and desserts that feel a little different from your typical bakery lineup.

Bleu Door Bakery

Bleu Door Bakery in Uptown Vancouver feels like a mini escape to Paris without leaving town. The café space is cozy, and the pastry case rotates often, which keeps things interesting.

The Paris Brest is a standout. The macarons and tarts are always strong picks. If you see the bacon and cheddar scone, get it warmed up. It makes a difference. They also offer plant-based and gluten-free options, plus solid brunch plates.

These are the bakeries I really go to. Not a “best of” list I found online. These are the stops I make between showings, after inspections, or when I have ten minutes to kill and want something good.

If you’re new to Clark County, start here. If you’ve lived here forever, you probably already know a few of these and should try the rest. And if you’re out house hunting or checking out a new neighborhood, this is an easy way to make the day better.

Good pastries. Good coffee. Good excuse to explore more of the city. That’s a solid plan.
